How to import from Smartsheet

Note: Smartsheet is updating its API, and older versions of the Office Timeline Add-in will no longer support the integration after February 6, 2026. To continue using Smartsheet with Office Timeline, please update to the latest version of the Add-in before this date.

Updating to the latest version gives you access to our new email sign-in and improved license management, replacing product key activation.

Office Timeline allows you to import data from Smartsheet into PowerPoint as a timeline slide with just a few clicks. In this video, we will show you how to:

  • Correctly format the column headers and contents for import;
  • Map the columns in Office Timeline to reflect the properties of tasks and milestones;
  • Filter the data you bring in and select only the desired items;
  • Bring in Smartsheet data directly into Swimlanes.
