Display multiple timescales on your timeline

Follow

Overview

Office Timeline Pro+ lets you display up to 3 timescales on your timeline for better calendaring. Here’s how to do it:

Steps

  1. From your timeline slide, select the timescale to open its options in the Style Pane and then click on Timescale Settings.

  2. In the window that pops up, you’ll see 3 scale tiers – top, middle and bottom - whose Visibility you can turn on or off depending on how many scales you want to show on your timeline.

  3. For each timescale you’ve toggled on, you can choose a different band color, the units to display (e.g. years, quarters, months etc.), the type format you prefer, and whether to show separators between units or not:

Note: As you edit your scales, you can see a live preview of the them to make customization easier for you.

  4. Once done, click save and the changes will automatically apply to your timeline slide:

Quick tips:

  • You can style your timescales even further from the Style Pane – e.g. change text fonts, colors and sizes – and use “Apply to all” to transfer your styling options to all scales simultaneously.

  • To remove a timescale, toggle its Visibility off from Style Pane->Timescale Settings-> Scales. Note that you can’t remove all scales – at least one timescale (whichever one) must be visible.
