How to manually install WebView2 Runtime

Overview

When installing Office Timeline, the setup wizard will attempt to download & install a required component, Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, on computers that don’t already have it.

If, for any reason, the add-in can’t connect to Microsoft to get the needed files, you may be prompted to manually install WebView2.

Here’s how to do it:

Steps

1. Close the Office Timeline setup wizard.

2. Download & install WebView2 Runtime directly from Microsoft’s website:

   https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?linkid=2124703

3. Restart the Office Timeline setup.
